SHORELINE
TRAIL |
General Information |
• All contestants must be a member of Southern
Tier Junior Bassmasters,
prior to the event.
• All shoreline tournaments will be held on
Wednesday evenings at local
ponds.
• Tournament hours are 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Hours
are subject to change at
the discretion of the shoreline committee.
• Pre-registration with the tournament director
is required.
• Adult supervision is mandatory (21 yrs. or
over), for each child or group of children.
• Children will compete in three age groups:
• ages 10 and under
• ages 11 to 14
• ages 15 to 18
• All contestants must supply their own tackle
and bait.
• There will be a $1 “Big Bass”
pot that you can get in at the tournament (cash only).

Rules |
• All contestants must catch their own fish.
(Adult supervisors may help
with tying hooks, rigging, and/or baiting hooks).
• Only artificial baits and/or live worms may
be used. No live minnows!
• Any fish caught, must be recorded by a designated
scorer at the time of
catch.
• Live release of all fish is expected.

Scoring |
• ALL fish caught during tournament hours will
count toward a contestant's score.
Scoring will be by the following:
• Legal Bass (12" or longer) = 5 points
• Short Bass (under 12") = 2 points
• All other fish (any length) = 1 point
|
Prizes |
• Medals / Merchandise prizes for 1st and 2nd
place in each age group.
• The largest fish caught ("Big Bass")
will be awarded the cash taken in.
Awards for participation, Angler of the Year and Big
Bass of the Year will also be awarded at the annual
club banquet.

Miscellaneous Information
• Refreshments will be provided after each
tournament.

General Information |

• It is everyone's own responsibility to find
a ride in a boat for the tournaments.
• We will do what we can to find room, but no
guarantees are made or implied.

• All Southern Tier Bassmasters By-Laws, Rules
and regulations will apply, in addition to the rules
listed below.
• All contestants, parents and guardians must
wear a life jacket when the combustion engine is running.
• All contestants under age 12 must wear a life
jacket at all times while on the water.
• No adult fishing during tournament hours.
• Tournament hours will be 6:30am to 12:30 pm.
